What does it mean to be mature? What causes growth in Christ and what anchors us? What does it mean to be stable where emotions can't guide your walk in this life? In this teaching, Dr. Michael B. Knight will answer these questions as well as to help us understand the three steps to maturity: to have deep roots, to have spiritual intimacy, and Biblical knowledge that is applied.

Week One: The Tree of Zoe: How to Measure Maturity

(How does growth take place?)

Colossians 1:28 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) We proclaim Him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) He made the One who did not know sin to be sin[a] for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Philippians 3:20-21 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) but our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. 21 He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

John 13:34-35 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Real Mature Defined: Spiritual maturity is you becoming more like Christ.

Real Mature Measured:

1. Live Intentionally.

2. Love Unconditionally
