‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:40
We desire to positively impact our community with the tangible love of Christ through random acts of kindness each day. Why? This is what we were created to do. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
How? We will follow the example of Christ. And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Acts 10:38
There are several ways to get involved in the K365 initiative.
Daily: Bless someone every day while you are working, shopping, running around town, or in school. There is always someone that you can intentionally bless.
Weekly: Community Outreach Project. As a team, we will bless the community in various ways.
Monday project: Bless a Business - every Monday we choose a local business to go and bless with cookies or a basket of goodies for the employees to share.
Annually: Week of Community Service Projects performed corporately by the entire church.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
We are praying and asking God to increase our awareness of those around us who are lost or hurting. Some of those people are our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and even strangers whom God will put in our path. The recipients of our kindness will come from every facet of life….rich, poor, old, young etc. We don’t have a particular “stereotype.” Everyone needs to experience the kindness and love of God through tangible ways. We believe that little things done with great love can change the world.
